His passion for animals touched the hearts of many people, especially pet lovers. Steve Irwin lived and died doing what he loved the most. In this contest let us pay tribute to the "Crocodile Hunter" by photoshopping Steve Irwin and wild animals in famous paintings. Your painting entry has to include both Steve Irwin and at least one wild animal to qualify for this contest. An animal has to be a wild animal (no domesticated animals - e.g. no cats, dogs, or cows) and may be present in a painting source picture, or can be added there entirely by you. Steve Irwin has to be "in good light" in the entries - it is a tribute contest and we are not looking for "bad humor" here.

Thursday, many peanut butter jars were recalled from store shelves after salmonella was found in peanut butter. Scientists confirm - salmonella went nuts.
In this contest you are asked to photoshop anything related to the recent peanut butter contamination with salmonella.
Examples may include paintings with this theme, designing new peanut butter labels, new peanut butter advertisements, etc.
Tribute to Luciano Pavarotti pictures -
The biggest tenor superstar and opera singer of the 20th century, Luciano Pavarotti, died Thursday morning in his residence at Modena, Italy. Pavarotti lost a long battle with pancreatic cancer. His passion for opera, charismatic persona, and powerful voice touched the hearts of many people. Pavarotti lived his life doing what he loved the most and
was often called the greatest tenor since Caruso.
In this contest let us pay tribute to Luciano Pavarotti any way you wish. Your entries have to either include Pavarotti in them or make a reference to him. Examples may be including him in paintings, showing him in heaven, etc. Luciano has to be "in good light" in the entries - it is a tribute contest and we are not looking for "bad humor" here.
George Carlin Tribute pictures -
The Grammy-Award winning American comedian and actor George Carlin has died today of heart trouble. Carlin was constantly pushing the boundaries of accepted satire and language. His "Seven Words You Can Never Use on Television" is still banned from TV and radio today.
Carlin was seen as counterculture hero, especially by the older generations, who remember Carlin's golden years in the 80s. Carlin, 71, kept performing as recently as last weekend at the Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. George was a comedic genius who will be missed by millions of fans, including us at Freaking News.
To pay a tribute to a great man of satire, George Carlin, photoshop him any way you wish. Some examples are: show what Carlin will do in heaven (or hell),
what movies he could have played in, what alternative careers he could have chosen, immortalize him in paintings, etc. These are just some ideas.
Beavis & Butthead pictures -
Bad boys Beavis & Butthead will soon be making their return in a live action movie, according to their creator Mike Judge. In an interview to MTV, Judge says he sees Seann William Scott as Beavis, and Topher Grace as Butthead.
Come to think of it, Seann William does look like Beavis.
Photoshop Beavis and Butthead any way you wish. Some examples are: showing what world would be like if Beavis & Butthead ruled the word; photoshopping famous movies and paintings to include Beavis, Butthead or both; turning celebrities and politicians into Beavis or Butthead, etc. Here's a good example.
Tim Russert Tribute pictures -
Tim Russert, a political lifer and an icon of broadcast journalism, died of a heart attack this Friday in the midst of a presidential campaign he's been covering. Russert made a TV career out of his passion. He was both feared and liked in Washington.
Russert died of a heart attack, collapsing at the network's Washington bureau. He was just 58.
To pay tribute to Tim Russert, photoshop him any way you wish.

Sydney Pollack Tribute pictures -
Hollywood legend Sydney Pollack died of cancer at his Los Angeles home at the age of 73.
Academy award winner Pollack will be remembered for his movies by millions of people who love them as well by numerous stars that worked with Pollack. Some of his most famous films are
"Out of Africa," "Tootsie," "Absence of Malice," and "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?"
Unlike many other directors, Pollack was also a movie and television actor.
Last fall, Pollack played law firm boss in "Michael Clayton," which he co-produced and
received seven Oscar nominations. Hollywood will miss the Pollack's talent, and so will millions of fans worldwide, including us at Freaking News.

Bridge seems more purple, and the painting seems more green. / congrats. but i agree with newsy comment. / Thankyou all.. and you're exactly right about those colour tones. Duh. Sometimes I find you get lost in the work - and forget the overall effect.. but duly noted.. I'll be more critical in future.
