Raccoons Attack Washington pictures - "So called 'urban raccoons' attack the City of Olympia in Washington. So far they killed 10 cats, have
bitten one dog, and one pet owner
(not necessarily in that order). Residents arm themselves against
raccoon attacks."
You probably read about these raccoons recently in The New York Times,
a daily newspaper with a
circulation of 18 trillion. Of course you don't believe a word of it.
You think publications like The New York Times make everything up.
So did I, and when I first saw their story, for the moment I thought
I was reading the scenario to Martin Scorsese's "Gangs of New York".
Yet, The New York Times and every other major newspaper claims that 'urban raccoons are for real and they are not afraid'.
Newspapers don't actually tell you there are
23,520,102, 370,754,235,929 raccoons in Washington,
who are starting a guerrilla war, but they let you be the detective and
put two and two together.
That and the fact that you should stay a way from Olympia, Washington
for the time being.
Because if there's anything raccoons
like to do is to have their way with your pets, steal your credit
cards, and torture you with the most
horrible country music. I might have the wrong list here. Anyhow,
you've gotta remember that
every raccoon who attacks Washingtonian is a friend of a man
has a short life span.
Keeping that in mind I think we should try the approach which proved
to work in the past.
You catch all male raccoons in Washington, sterilize them and drop
them from airplanes onto the affected area,
where they mate with the females, who don't get pregnant, and there
you are.
That, or catch all the female raccoons and put them on pills.
Until then we need to help The New York Times (and other newspapers)
with the pictures of these raccoons
which they failed to publish in their stories. Thus, in this contest
you are asked to photoshop
'raccoons behaving badly' - meaning raccoons causing a threat, or
problems to humans.
Stock Market Crash pictures -
Stocks of Dow Jones industrials and Standard and Poor 500 index had the
worst week in 5 years, with over a trillion dollars wiped from the
shareholders. The stock fall was initiated by investors' concerns
about rising borrowing costs for companies and homeowners. High loan
costs already caused the decline of real estate markets across the
USA, with some states (e.g. Florida) seeing as much as 50% drop in the
real estate sales.
Photoshop the reasons, crisis, or effects of the stock market crash.
Show how stock exchange downfall could affect companies, ordinary
people or the whole life on this planet - think bankruptcies,
devaluation of currency, and fortunes lost.
Art Fashion pictures -
Surprising news from archaeology this week - recent excavations of
ancient European settlement showed that women wore short tops and mini
skirts as long as 7000 years ago. Such "modern" women's wardrobe was
shown in the figurines of young women found at the excavation site.
The findings prove that even prehistoric women dressed to impress and
had passion for fashion.
Let us prove that women and men had passion for fashion even in the old times. In this contest you are asked to change or add modern clothes to the characters in the following works of art - old paintings, drawings, or statues.
Jail Fashion? pictures -
[ Four inmates in an Italian women's prison near Milan used their jail time to create their own fashion line inspired by stripy prison design. About 50 creations were modeled on a Milan catwalk this week. ]
Let us take a wild guess why some of the most famous fashion designers are Italians. They all served sentences, had too much time on their hands and made their fashion lines behind the bars.
See, that's the difference between Americans and Italians - in the US you go to jail to serve time, in Italy you go to jail to become a fashion designer. They have a never ending supply of future designers on every street corner. The next time you are in Italy and get mugged, ask the mugger for his autograph. And those of you who wear Armani, Gucci, Versace, or Valentino, know there's always an extra pocket for a knife, even if we're talking about underwear.
In this contest you are asked to photoshop clothes inspired by classic stripy prison design, or by modern prison clothes design. We aren't asking you to paste a person wearing a prison uniform into another image here. We are asking you to re-design clothing using the prison motif.
Dow Crash pictures -
Tuesday stock markets had the worst day since 2001. It must be pretty serious. Bill Gates showed up at work with no shirt on.
Photoshop anything connected to the recent Dow crash. Examples may show how the companies will make ends meet, new uses for worthless stocks and currency after the Dow crash, company CEOs out of job, etc.
Fashion Bugs pictures - Photoshop bugs worn as jewelry or clothes. "Bug bags" are also allowed.

This Easter was the coldest on record in Minnesota as it was across most of the U.S. Fans at golf and baseball games were seen bundled up like it was the middle of winter. The National Weather Service is predicting the rest of April will be like Hillary Clinton - not so hot.
In this contest you are asked to photoshop images with a mixture of winter and summer fashion. We are looking for a 50-50 wardrobe split either horizontally or vertically. Your fashion design can be shown in photoshopped photos, magazine covers, works or art, etc. Britney Spears no underwear may also be a fashion statement as long as you make it safe for work.
Seashell pictures - Photoshop this seashell image (CLICK HERE to download) any way you wish. Examples may include changing its shape, merging the seashell with some other object or animal, including the seashell in paintings. These are just some ideas.
You have 3 days to submit your entry. Submitting it early will give you plenty of time to read the critique comments and edit your image accordingly.
