Women in Space picturesAdvanced Photoshop Pictures Contest - 19 image entries
Contest Directions: I don't want to alarm you but it seems they have found one woman on earth who agreed to go on for 10 days wearing the same outfit, with no shopping, no beauty saloons, and no other women to chat with.
"Anousheh Ansari from Dallas will become the first woman space tourist this month. She will join astronauts in the Russian capsule Soyuz launch (scheduled for Sept. 18) and will spend 10 days at an international space station before returning to Earth with its current crew. The woman paid over $20 million for this trip."
Well, here we are - women tourists in space. It won't be long before women space tourists will change the face of space travel. Pink space shuttles will be a mess packed with elegant astronaut suits (or should I say dresses), matching pairs of shoes, and gazillions of chocolate bars, perfume, and make-up items. The International Space Station will look like a spa,
with attached department stores. Will there still be room left for science, you ask? Of course. Space research topics will include: "Does this space suit make my butt look fat?", "How to eat 100 astro chocolate bars and not gain weight", and "Is there life on Snickers?"
In this contest you are asked to show how women would rule the space exploration and tourism - womanize astronaut clothes & accesories, spaceships, equipment, etc.

Anousheh Ansari really was like many, many children -- growing up she dreamed and wondered about the stars above, about the heavens. During the past month, the Dallas resident actually came a step closer to becoming the first woman space tourist of all time. She is slated to be on the Soyuz launch that is slated to occur on September 18th. She will celebrate her 40th birthday in space. She said that she has always dreamed of heading off into space. Ansari spoke with Bill Weir of Good Morning America. She actually will be able to spend a full ten days at the international space station. She will return to earth with two space station crew members who have been on the space station since April 1st. In the process, Ansari will spend her birthday with astronauts and cosmonauts high above the earth. The trip comes complete with a $20 million price tag. She has already begun her pre-flight training. She was excited to learn that they did have chocolate to eat on the space station, the candy being one of her favorites. |
