Very nice merger of the two throughout the central portions. The perimetre of the image though could be a little sharper on the masking, especially around the lower right jaw and the shoulder areas. I would suggest going with a darker background or a gradient to complete your composition. It may also help you hide a few problem areas. Example

Thanks a lot cOOper for the time and effort you have given for my entry....i have made the changes accordingly....but don't you think gradient is making this more dark....as the entry is of a dark base....please suggest

The brightness and the solidity of your previous background made it the dominant feature of your work. It also made the composition look like it was cropped. By making the background darker around the shoulders of your subject, the viewer's eye is drawn to the highlighted, upper-left area of the eggplant and then down into the image. This creates an almost chronological, visual effect of the contest theme and then the celebrity. See what you think though. Compare your two versions and see what feature catches your eye when you first look at each one. If it is the background, then the composition is incorrect.
