Great idea, well merged. (a little dodge tool on the edges of the trees to show sunlight would fix the issue folks are mentioning.)

I have used the dodge tool and it would fix that problem in no time. I would suggest using the dodge and burn tools together though. Dodge the dark parts a bit and burn the light parts to split the difference.
