| The Weather Channel is posting an unusual forcast for itself: a high pressure system of comedy is on the way. The cable channel has announced that it will feature Lewis Black, who is well known for his humerous rants on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show." The Weather Channel will feature Black in a series of segments beginning on Wednesday night. Lewis will be the first in what the Weather Channel hopes will be a long list of celebrity guests on the networ. Terry Connelly, the network's senior VP, indicated that they wanted to add people like Black to spice things up on air. Black will have the chance to try out some of the network's weather forcasting maps and will be able to visit on camera with weathercaster Dave Schwartz. Black will also have the chance to deliver a few comedic remarks about global warming and airport delays. Connelly indicated that Black is a closet weather fan. Connelly has put the word out that if a celebrity is near the network's Atlanta headquarters they are welcome to pop in for an on air apperance. The network is also considering a weekday program that Connelly describes as a cross between "The View" and Martha Stewart's daily program. |
