Comments welcomed. This took me five hours. Is that good for a beginner?

5 hours or 1 hour. That is not really important. What is important is the final product. I think striving for perfection is the goal, no matter how long it takes. I also think making an image that people can't tell what has been done to it is important. As far as this image, I would pay a little closer attention to the masking on the 'legs'. Another tip is finding and using high resolution sources. The FN guitar is pixelated but the 'FN' is sharp. The overall idea is good.

I agree with Keb's suggestions. I think the composition has a merit, but the execution needs some more work.

Thanks for the feedback. I dont get it, when I was working on this, it looked so much better, not at all as pixalated as this post. Even when I saved it as jpeg(Quality = 6, progressive scan 5 2MBps), it was crystall clear. Only after uplading to FN did it look as crappy as this. The Lagoon I posted looks as good as it should. I couldn't get the shadow to look realistic enough. Still learning.
