On Monday, Howard Dean flatly denied reports that he had asked General Wesley Clark to be his Vice Presidential running mate. He was alleged to have made this offer to Clark if Dean wins the Democratic presidential nomination this year. Clark indicated that there had, in fact, been at least an informal offer from Dean. Dean continues to flatly deny Clark's contention.
