| Today Show host Matt Lauer was criticized by actor Tom Cruise. Cruise criticized Lauer when Lauer brought up Cruise's previous criticism of Brooke Shields for taking anti-depressants. Cruise told Lauer that Lauer simple didn't know what he was talking about. Cruise maintained that Lauer did not know the history of psychiatry. Cruise maintained that he did understand the history. The interview became even more heated when Lauer, who said he knew people who had been helped by the attention-deficit disorder drug Ritalin, asked Cruise about the effects of the Ritalin on a person using the medication. Cruise told Lauer that Lauer didn't even know what Ritalin was. Cruise said that Lauer simply had not done his homework in this regard. |
