i like these, its the very original OOB's people used to do, still see it a bit and they'll always look sweet like this fine example... not sure about the background color... or was that from Adjusting lvls, exposures, etc when finishing the peice. easy wand select and fill with a ... y white if so. also i think the flap of shirt bottom left, even though a part of the original, is not needed

It is the first OOB I've done so was a bit trial and error.I nearly cropped the girls shirt just before I finished and I might still do. The background colour is just white ,is it her shadow you are seeing.

Here's what you do. Match the background color with the white that is used on the freaking news website. That way your image will look like it is directly on the page. That would be cool.

yup, wd... very sweet now, jumping out at me like a great OOB should... sometimes with whites the background will change color without you noticing when u change any adjustments, then when u JPEG it, the faint color really appears in the contest version.. but great changes anyway, fantastico.

Sweet job 4 your 1st, personally I would lose the shadow & add some to the picnic basket, that's a good link TT but really doesn't show how it's done as well as this one from TrinityOfOne

Thank's for the advice all. I sort of fuddled my way through that one but learnt a lot on the way. Was that busy watching how it was doing in my stats just realised I forgot to vote.Doh.
