This contest is fueled by the following news: The Matrix Revolutions, the final part of The Matrix trilogy, is set for simultaneous global release at 1400 GMT on Wednesday. Keanu Reeves (Neo), Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith) and Jada Pinkett Smith (Niobe) gathered for the premiere at Sydney, where the films were shot. The famous Sydney opera house was lit up with green lasers to match Matrix style. "The Matrix" is a fantastic film shot by the brothers Andy and Larry Wachowski. The movie was first released in the USA on the 31st March, 1999 and started the trilogy of films, comics, computer games and cartoon films. The film describes the theory of how the computer system Matrix dominates the real world. The computer system simulates reality for millions of people, who are forcefully connected to it by the intelligent machines, which in this way get the energy from people required for their survival. In the film there is a lot of focus on cyberpunk and hacker subculture, philosophical and religious ideas. "The Matrix" also actively uses the ideas of "Alisa in the Country of Miracles", Hong Kong action movies and Japanese animations. Plot: A young man by the name of Thomas Anderson leads a dual life. On one hand, he is a programmer in a big company, and in the other life he is a hacker Neo. One day he receives a strange message on his personal computer that says "You are stuck in the Matrix" (Literally "The Matrix has you"). The stranger gives him the instructions "to follow the white rabbit". Neo meets a girl having a tattoo in the form of white rabbit. When he was following her, he arrives at a night club. There he meets a girl-hacker. Her name is Trinity, who promises that she will reveal the secret of the Matrix to Thomas. For this purpose Neo should meet Morpheus, whom he was been searching for a long time. And the authorities consider him as the most dangerous terrorist. Neo is left with no time to think as his computer crimes have already drawn the attention of the FBI. Morpheus suggests the young man to see the Matrix with his own eyes and offers to choose between two tablets. One is dark blue, after swallowing it Neo will forget everything what had happened to him, and the other one is red, which will enable Neo to understand what the Matrix is. Neo chooses the red tablet. Thomas finds himself in a terribly destroyed world, which appears to be the present real world. He learns, that the world he is used to appears to be an illusion generated by the artificial intellect of the supercomputer so as to keep the people in control. The planet is buried in an everlasting twilight, the cities are in ruins. People are enslaved by the all powerful machines, so as to produce the energy necessary for survival. There are a few people who could retain consciousness who hide in catacombs and start a guerrilla war against the Machines, after having learnt how to enter into the Matrix. The last stronghold of free people is the underground city of Zion. Desperate attacks are carried out by the flying ships on the world of the Matrix for rescuing the people entrapped in it. One such ship bears the name "Nebuchadnezzar", and its captain is Morpheus. He believes that Neo is the Chosen One who can rescue mankind from the rule of the machines. However in the crew of "Nebuchadnezzar", there is a traitor named Cypher, who is ready to deceive the friends and the freedom of intelligence for the sweet deceit of System. Cypher lets down his old friends for the Agents the programs of the Matrix, which are avid to get the access codes to Zion. Morpheus is taken prisoner by the Agents. Neo and Trinity by virtue of superhuman efforts rescue the captain, but Neo has to run away from the Agents chasing him. Neo does not succeed in getting out of the Matrix, and Smith kills him. However, Neo returns to life thanks to the kiss of Trinity, while sensing extraordinary strength in him. He easily kills Smith, after having broken his program code. In the end of film Neo calls on a phone and promises that he will show the people who are trapped in the Matrix, that "anything is possible". He hangs up the phone and vanishes into the sky.
