Although they are not particularly stylish, new knife resistant children's sweatshirts and coats are providing parents peace of mind in Japan. There have been some horrific attacks on children in that country in recent times. The coats and sweatshirts look like plain waterproof garments but actually are made from the same materials used by the policy and the military in knife proof and bullet proof vests. This is all according to the maker of the garments, a company called Madre.
