| Out of all toys, fluffy toys, prototypes of various animals appeared in 19 century.
They were stitched out of cloth patches, stuffed with cotton and decorated using needlework skills by caring mothers for their tiny tots. By the end of 19 century, manufacturing of fluffy toys got large-scale development as domestic craft industry started producing them on commercial scale.
It was in the beginning of the 20 century the boom of stuffed toys production got started and there new appeared plush bear, because, everywhere around the world people, including adults, were fond of a toy that was a plush bear who was named Teddy.
To say precisely Teddy bear was born in 1902. And also, both USA and Germany are still arguing to be called as his motherland. Simultaneously, in both countries, in the autumn of 1902 appeared first toy bears who stood on their feet like dolls. There exist several stories about how the idea for creating such a toy came up.
Today by using new technologies there are attempts to modify plush bear.
Livecam, Scottish company, developed Teddycam bear equipped with system of hidden cameras: Teddy’s nose got installed a small video camera, microphone and transmitter. This development, as inventor thinks, should help parents, who worry about their kids left home alone. Another hi-tech bear was created by Siemens.
Bear was equipped with global positioning system (GPS) receiver and rescue service call switch. By pressing this switch child can send an alert signal and inform his whereabouts. Robonetics, a Belgian company is developing robot-bear for children who for lengthy periods have to stay in hospitals or home alone. It is expected that in this year itself electronic bear will move nose, ears and eyes, and in future Teddy will move on hind legs, talk and even express emotions NewsObserver.com reports, at annual TechFest exhibition, Microsoft Corporation’s research division’s head Stephen Batich developed and presented a new project under the name of “Teddy Bear”. Plush bear -a remote connected robot with Internet should be a distant helper for parents. Robot-bear will have functions of telephone, computer and video camera permits parents to be ever present with their child, to look after him, speak or play with him and so on.
But no electronic engineering can replace bear stuffed with saw dust whom we embraced and slept with and whom we had taken everywhere along, because that bear had simple plush bear had a live soul. This indeed was the secret of longevity of success this lovely toy. But, still nobody and can entirely guess out plush bear’s uniqueness.
What was the reason behind such uniqueness? Why even after an entire century, this bear cub continues winning hearts all over the world? Now plush bears are not only toys but also a rare item for collectors who fight so much to have them.

Not so casual is the fact that at the end of 20th century, Marquise Jean-Charles De Castelbajac, whose costumes were worn by John Lennon and Supreme Pontiff, created an overcoat of plush bears and presented to the world his bear collection, where each item was evaluated approximately at 20000 franks.
Renowned sentence of Marquise was: “Sheath was protecting mankind before, now toy bear is doing that. One can hardly be aggressive towards the one who has a plush bear in his hands.”
Probably this is the secret of bear cub which can create feeling of psychological comfort, coziness and protection.
