This contest is fueled by the following news:
There are now supermarket shopping carts that are equipped with touch screens. These touch screens will assist a marketer in finding items desired within the store. You will also be able to do such things as place deli orders without waiting in line. The concept behind the touch screens is to make shopping easier for consumers. The touch screen devices are on display at the supermarket industry's annual convention, which is being held in Chicago. The so-called "shopping buddy" is being test marketed at Stop & Shop stores and will be rolled out more broadly across the country this summer. There is a competing device called Concierge which is being test marketed in Canada and will be broadly released in that country in June and July.
