| Students from Purdue University have won the national Rube Goldberg Matching Contest. The won the contest by proving that changing batteries in a flashlight may not be as simple as it might seem on first blush. The students from Purdue devised a truly complicated and utterly whimsical method of changing batteries in a flashlight. This marks the Universities third consecutive time to win the contest. The battery changing process devised by Perdue students took a whopping 125 steps, more than six times the minimum of 20 steps required in the event. |
