| CBS announced that it has ordered more episodes and editions of the hit television program "Survivor." The show will carry on next season but it remains to be seen if host Jeff Probst will remain on board the top rated reality show. The network said that it will be airing the 13th and 14th installments of the show during the 2006 - 2007 television season. The contract with Probst, however, extends only through the current season. He has been with the show since the summer of 2000. Probst, 43, told People Magazine last month the he is contemplating the pros and cons of renewing his contract with the show. He noted that he has reached what he considers an inevitable point where he wonders if he wants to continue doing this any longer. He does state that he will never have a job as good as the one he has now on "Survivor." Negotiations for a new contract between Probst and the producers of the show have not commenced. The show, produced by Mark Burnett, remains consistently in the top ten rated shows on television and is an integral part of the CBS Thursday night lineup, according to CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler. |
