| A couple of costumed policemen caught a suspected drug offender in what has been described as a bizarre sting. The policemen were dressed as Batman and Robin. The police said the superhero costumes were worn to "unsettle" the suspects they were seeking. The officers pretended to be a couple of drunken men looking for a costume party. They knocked on the door to the suspect's home, pretending to be lost. The people inside the house initially refused to open the door. After the costumed officers were refused admittance, uniformed officers went to the front door of the suspect's house. The people inside actually were happy to see the police ... wanting to report the Batman and Robin clad fellows. Ultimately, when the police were admitted into the house, one man from inside the house ran out the back door. He ended up being chased down by ... Batman. Last year, the same police force dressed up officers as Christmas carol performers. The suspect was arrested but has since been released pending his next court appearance. No other charges were brought against anyone else found in the house at the time Batman and Robin made their appearances.
