| | On its Wednesday debut, "Batman Begins" brought in a respectable $15 million in ticket sales. Box office watchers indicate that it is still too soon to determine whether the film can turn around what is proving to be a slow summer for Hollywood. "Batman Begins" comes in at the number 11 position for Wednesday openings in the United States and Canada. "Spider Man 2" is at number one on the list while "Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" occupies the number two spot. These movies were sequels with very loyal fans. The "Batman" franchise appeared to hit the skids with "Batman & Robin" in 1997 that was a disappointment to fans.
