Solar activity is connected with the number of spots on the Sun. The average number of spots changes with the period of approximately 11 years. The average degree of ionization of an ionosphere and the quantity of perturbations also subsequently change with the solar cycle. Since the existing theories of the processes of the Sun cannot satisfy specified observations, ionosphere models essentially depend on a set of full and reliable information about the spectral radiation intensity of the Sun. Now, however, the reduction of given solar observations in turn are restricted by the absence of theoretical interpretations. Obviously, progress in ionosphere theories depends on the progress in the theory of solar activity. These two areas of knowledge are inseparable and the physicists studying the ionosphere are eagerly anticipating new information about the Sun.
