Hollywood writers are going on
strike after negotiations between Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers failed, following eleven hours of talks through a federal mediator. Producers said writers were not willing to compromise on their demands - increase in writers' share of revenues from DVDs, movies, and merchandise based on writers' works. Under the old deal writers are getting only 3 cents from each DVD which sells for about $20. Hollywood producers called writers' demands unreasonable and writers' actions irresponsible. The strike will affect every single Hollywood studio.
Photoshop companies, people (politicians, celebrities, painting and cartoon characters, etc.), or animals going on strike, and stopping doing whatever they are doing. Your chop has to include a sign or note (in one way or another) showing that a person (or animal, etc.) is on strike (or is threatening to go on strike) and possibly showing the demands. Examples: Richard Gere holding the sign "Release my gerbil, or I quit"; Mona Lisa no longer smiling - holding a sign "On Strike. Stop Staring at My..."; Lincoln Memorial without Lincoln - showing sign "On strike until this country gets better". These are just some ideas.

History:
Strike is a very old phenomenon. Reference to strikes goes back to Egyptian Pharaohs. Strike by the workers of Ramses III was recorded on papyrus and the same papyrus is now stored in Turin. |
