| Al Sharpton has been a minister, an activist and even a Presidential candidate. Now he wants to be a sitcom star. Sharpton informed the New York Daily News that he is working with CBS on a pilot, tentatively named "Al in the Family." He indicated the sitcom is about social and political matters as well as providing a social message to viewers. Sharpton, who also has run for Mayor of New York City and the U.S. Senate, said that one of the possible episodes would be about one of his children becoming a Republican. He did admit that he did not know if he was a good actor. But, he noted that he would be playing himself -- and that he had been doing that for 51 years. |
