Steve McQueen is one of the best loved actors of his generation. He was known for his somewhat crazy lifestyle and his wild antics throughout his life. He was expelled from the Carnegie Institute of Technology which is now the Carnegie Mellon University. He was expelled for riding his motorcycle through the College of Fine Arts building. While acting, he performed most of his stunts, including some that he was told not to do on his own. McQueen played a great many roles. He is perhaps best known for Papillon (1973), Bullitt (1968), The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), The Sand Pebbles (1966), The Cincinnati Kid (1965), The Great Escape (1963) and The Magnificent Seven (1960). Girls wanted to do him and men wanted to be him. |
