| Star Wars is a Universal Project by George Lucas, an American director and producer.
The official date of the birth of this project - 25th may 1977 - the date of
release of the movie "Star Wars", on the big screen, currently "Star
Wars, Episode IV, A New Hope", however a first universal production -
a novel book - appeared in 1976, as producers
anticipated a failure in the film rentals.

The cinematographic cycle of "Star Wars" has six episodes, shot in two
stages, in which the fourth, fifth and sixth episodes were shot first,
and only after sixteen years were the first, second and third .

Stars Wars. Episode IV. A New Hope (English - Star Wars: Episode I: A
New Hope), in the beginning released in the name of Star Wars, this
was a scientific-fantasy film of 1977, shot by George Lucas. The
film was the first in the saga according to the year of release and fourth
according to the saga of chronology.
The film action developed after 19 years of formation. The Galactic
Empire: The emperors could construct their massive destructive weapons
of the star death, which are able to destruct whole planets. However
the leader of the rebel alliance, Princess Leia Organa could
get the secret plans of these weapons, but she falls into the
imprisonment of the emperors. In the mean time a young farmer called
Luke Skywalker meets with the old master Obi-Wan Kenobi who lived many
years on the deserted planet Tatooine. After the emperors burn away
the house of Luke and kill his relatives, he steadily decides to
become a Jedi and agrees to leave along with Obi-Wan Kenobi to save the
princess from Imprisonment.
In 1974, probably inspired the serial "Flash
Gordon" and Akira Kurosawa samurai films, and also the book by
Joseph Campbell "The Hero with a Thousand Faces", Lucas started
working on Star Wars. With a budget of $11 million, the film
was released on the 25th of May 1977 and stood as the most popular film of those
days, earning 215 million dollars in the USA and more than 337 million
dollars throughout the world only during the time of film hiring.
In spite of this the film achieved 10 awards from the film academy.
The film was reprinted many times, frequently with some essential
modifications - the most famous version was a special edition of the 1977 film
with renewed special effects and simulated scenes.

Legendary film director George Lucas is hiring writers for the Star Wars saga, which is set to continue in the form of TV series. Lucas has been hiring writers for this TV project since February 2006, and he is now getting some writers from outside of the US.
The filmmaker invited the writers to spend a week at his Skywalker Ranch in November, where they are going to finalize the story plot for the 13 episodes of the Star Wars TV show.
