Contest Directions:
[ "A surge in violence made St. Louis the most dangerous city in the country, leading a trend of violent crimes rising much faster in the Midwest than in the rest of nation, according to an annual list. St. Louis has been on the list of 10 most dangerous U.S. cities for years". ]
If you've never been to St. Louis, now is not a good time to visit. It received the title of most dangerous US city this year, thanks to all hard working criminals who work 24/7 to make the city famous. The center of St. Louis features 630-foot-tall stainless-steel arch - a monument to the early pioneers who came west with nothing but their wagons, their guns, and their crimes. Visitors may ride to the top of the arch, where, high above the Mississippi River, they may see the panorama of crimes in the city.
In this contest you are asked to "criminalize" any St. Louis related theme (city part, event, people, products, etc.), and feature it as a tourism advertisement for St. Louis.

| | This contest is fueled by the following news: |
| | Morgan Quitno Press has determined that St. Louis is the most dangerous city in the United States, thanks to a surge in violence in that city in recent times. Morgan Quitno compiles a list of the most dangerous cities in the United States on an annual basis. Through the years that Morgan Quitno has been compiling these statistics, St. Louis has repeatedly faired poorly. In fact, violent crime in St. Louis has increased almost twenty percent since 2004. The ranking as the most dangerous city in the United States comes on the heals of the city celebrating a world series victory at the newly constructed Busch Stadium. Recently, St. Louis has been spending a great deal of money on urban renewal projects all the while the crime rate was increasing. The Mayor of St. Louis, Francis Slay, did not return phone calls regarding the ranking. The President of Morgan Quitno, Scott Morgan, said that he was not surprised with the ranking of St. Louis. The story itself looked only at crime that occurred within the city limits of St. Louis and not the surrounding suburbs. St. Louis has a population of about 330,000. FBI Director Robert Mueller was visiting St. Louis when the rankings were released. He said that his agency was working to form partnerships with local law enforcement to battle the rising crime rate in some communities. The safest city on the Morgan Quitno list was Brick, New Jersey, with a population of about 78,000. The second most dangerous city was Detroit followed by another Michigan city, Flint. Camden, New Jersey, had been the most dangerous city in the U.S. for two years prior to being knocked from the top spot by St. Louis. |
