| Some say that athletes want to be rock stars and rock stars want to be athletes. Boston Red Sox pitcher Bronson Arroyo gets to be both. He is releasing a new album called "Covering the Bases. The album is a collection of '90s cover songs. The album includes an interesting mix of grunge and other modern rock, various songs that the 28-year-old loved listening to in the past. He also plays the guitar. Fellow teammates Johnny Damon, Kevin Youkilis and Lenny DiNardo help out on Arroyo's version of The Standells' "Dirty Water," the song that blasts from the Fenway Park speakers with every Red Sox victory. Team general manager Theo Epstein, a fellow guitarist, plays on Toad the Wet Sprocket's "Something's Always Wrong" on the pitcher's album. |
