Getting rid of so called fizzy drinks might work to prevent childhood obesity some scientists reported on Friday. In this day and age, obesity is a serious problem in children. Researchers at the Bournemouth Diabetes and Endocrine Center in England have determined that by eliminating carbonated drinks alone, obesity rates dropped. Dr. David Kerr, who headed the research team, said that by targeting this type of beverage item, a large amount of sugar will be eliminated from a child's diet, lowering the overall rate of obesity amongst children.
