This contest is fueled by the following news: The snowboard is a delight for winter skaters and sea surfers, who are missing the sea. And actually, what will a thrill seeker do when snowdrifts are knee deep across the window. The snowboard is a more difficult sport than skates. But snow is not an asphalt, the sliding speed is simply more and much more adrenaline is pumped. Snowboarders developed this sport in every possible manner. In snowboarding, there are 3 basic directions. Sports snowboarding - what we watch during the broadcast of the Olympic games. Slalom, parallel slalom, boarder cross and other professional sporting disciplines. Free-ride - free descent from unexplored, maiden routes. A dangerous and unpredictable task. Freestyle - good old acrobatics. Jumps, somersaults, stunts on explored routes. Freestyle includes several disciplines: Already known as half pipe - stunts on ramp; Big Air - jump from a springboard and performing acrobatic stunts in the air; Slope style - stunts on a track equipped with various obstacles; Jibbing a very popular direction nowadays. Sportsmen slide on other artificial structures, welded from metal and also on city elements: steps, benches, railings. For a snowboarding beginner, it is necessary to pay your main attention to the selection of the snowboard, fasteners and clothing, especially boots. And it is good to learn, where to go for a ride, watch and accumulate experience. Everyone stands on the snow board for the first time. Not all can stand on the board and slide from the slope immediately. It is true, that snowboarding is not a simple task for the beginner. Especially, if it is to be done for the first time. It is worth mentioning that after some time, you start feeling confident enough on a board and therefore, it is not necessary to panic and declare at once that snowboarding is not for you. Everything will come in the due course of time and perhaps, very soon. This article is aimed at helping you as much as possible in providing a useful introduction to the snowboard. The article teaches you to feel satisfied in learning the riding skills on the board quickly and feel confidence in your powers. It is not so difficult as it seems. Preparation for skiing starts at home. If you have a snowboard and outfit, wear your boots and try to stand on the board. Feel if the boots fit well on you and get used to the board. It is very useful. Your body will learn how to take the proper position on the snowboard, it will then be easier on the slope. Do small swinging moves here and there, but do not overdo it. Now, let's straight away move onto the slope. Before starting the exercise, it is necessary to do some stretching and warm up the muscles. Do some jogging, jumping and stretching of the muscles and joints. All the exercises are similar to physical exercises done in the mornings. Now, you are ready for snowboarding. To begin with, it is necessary to put on the snowboard correctly. Do not try to put both feet in at once since it will not allow you to make a very important introductory exercise. We choose a flat and straight snow surface. Place the board and after being convinced that it will not slide, we put one (front) foot on it. Now, it is necessary to slide on the snowboard as on skateboard on this flat surface. While doing this, you may fall but nothing to worry about - as you will acquire riding skills. They are very useful! After completing these activities, you can put on the second foot. Now both feet are fixed to the snowboard. It will be quite inconvenient in the beginning but you will get used to it later. Find a small and easy slope. Try to move keeping the face forward, feeling the balanced position. If you are falling down while riding, then try to take the support of someone's elbow. In any case, do not fall on your hands since it may cause serious dislocations. Initially one may fall many times while riding, don't get disheartened. Then, try to slide keeping the spine forward. Everything is same, as in the previous activity. As soon as you begin to get used to it, you can move to real skiing on the snowboard, something you always dreamt of. We start sliding on a slope downwards keeping the face at a small angle. Then, gradually we transfer the centre of gravity to the side, towards which we take a turn. You will notice, how the snowboard starts changing the movement. And now you can feel the charm of snowboarding. This feeling will bring you down the slope. Since snowboarding has been officially recognised as a winter sport, it includes many competitions, which are divided based on time and score. Slalom, which is further divided into types, is based on time. Slalom is further divided into five categories, namely: Banked slalom, Tight slalom, Hybrid slalom, Giant slalom and SuperG or super giant.
