this is pretty sweet but the helmet feels pasted on, mostly because of the ear but also the edges on the bill are choppy and the colors are too saturated. still time to edit.

Thanks jerry, overlooked the ear at 1 a.m., what a surprise. desaturated the helmet some and fixed the ear. The helmet looks ragged, because as in the source (Full Metal Jacket movie cover) the metal helmet is covered with a canvas camo cover and has some rips in the fabric along the underside of the brim.

My brain said AZ would win from the start, but my heart was with you, Bee. I feel in love with this. It's the Knudte (can't spell it) effect - the baby polar bear that everyone loved a few years back, but in real life has grown up to look like something that could have fit into AZ's post for this same contest (definitely not cute now).

Thanks all. I tried to depart from the norm here and try something a little different. I figured, let's take this cute little bear, let's toss him out of a perfectly good airplane waaay up in the air strapped with a parachute and send him into the war.
