On Monday a "shoe wave" has rolled in Arab world showing support for al-Zaidi's action - thousands of people marching on the streets and shaking their shoes and putting them on sticks in Iraq, Libya, and Syria. Muntader al-Zaidi is declared a hero, and was given an award of courage in Libya.
