Contest Directions: National Selfie Day is June 21st. The term "selfie" was coined in 2002 by an Australian man who posted pictures of himself on Flickr while drunk. The first self-portrait photograph was taken back in 1839. The word "selfie" was added to the Oxford Dictionary in 2013, but the selfie didn't get its own holiday until 2014. Not that long ago, people – usually teens and younger – showed they had been somewhere by marking a tree with their initials or scribbling graffiti. The stalls of public restrooms were a favorite target. But now that’s so old-fashioned – you can just take a selfie and share it with the world through the miracle of the Internet.
Photoshop how selfies would look through history if modern smartphones were available back then. You are welcome to use any celebrities and politicians in any historic times, up to the year 2000. The themepost provides a good example as well as this chop. Many thanks to vicspa  for both of them. Please Note: Limit 3 Entries Per Player.

        • Pin-ups, what can you say; this is brilliantly done. My top pick just for the novelty and a few superb technical points. The pinky adding support under the fhone is a nice touch and capturing the clean and crispness of the 50s pin-up art is perfect.!
        • Hitman said it all! Also love the FN logo!

        • Contrast could be toned down just a bit. If you want to fix that, in PS go to Filters-click, Blur-click, drop down menu appears, scroll down to Gaussian Blur, select 0.8 in the radius/pixels window by using the slider bar. Select OK and that will soften high contrast pics and reduce grain. Funkwood taught me that trick so I am passing it on. In fact that whole "filter" section is a gas, you can figure out tons of effects applications. Your composition and subject sources are great. I'm fascinated with the long focal length cameras like the one you used. Nothing says old better than a camera with a bellows LOL.
        • Hitspinner has passed on some great PS info, Claude. It would be worthy of Google Translating it. This is a delightful and impressive chop!

        • Once again proving that if your famous or own a brothel the girls will let you,,, well you know.
        • Did I say that? and once again I hit a nerve.
        • Well thankyou then, he was still a Pimp and a draft dodger... I guess it runs in the family.
        • the girls could use some sharpening, and you missed erasing between the arms.
        • Should have called it the "Hysteria Hotel" LOL Cool trivia. As far as draft dodging, that was really common not so much that the men were cowards (though plenty were) but a lot of deserters were just not on the same page as the despots they were conscripted to. Face it, Germany had a long history of wasting soldiers. Added to that men were starting to wise up. Who really knows what Drumph's real intentions were? The business of running a ball warmer House was perfectly legitimate back in the day. You just didn't discuss it with women. My great grandfather ran a saloon and what else we know not. But he was an immigrant to... from Ireland and those boys were in to all types of nasty doings LOL So, I withhold judgment at this time. Hehehehehe. Let us not judge or shall we be judged. Something like that... and I'm sticking to it Fun chop Mundo
        • Five comments before a useful critique, thanks Vic. If followed, it might not have finished last.
