| Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed" is a solid hit in the UnitedStates, even though it has received very bad reviews. The movie has racked in $30.7 million at the box office in the United States. With that said, the sequel is not doing as well as the original installment in the franchise. Meanwhile, "The Ladykillers", Tom Hanks' latest film that is directed by the lively Coen brothers, comes in at second place with $13 million. At the same time, "The Passion of the Christ" is at number three, making $12.5 million in its fifth week in theaters. Last week's released "Dawn of the Dead" fell to number four, bringing in about $10.3 million. Finally, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez and Liv Tyler's "Jersey Girl" opened at fifth place, grossing $8.3 million. |
