| Rush Limbaugh (birth name - Rush Hudson Limbaugh III, born on January 12, 1951 ) is an American conservative public figure and host of one of the most popular radio shows in U.S. Place of birth - Cape Girardeau Missouri.

In 1969, he graduated from high school (Cape Central High School). His parents wanted him to continue education & hence, he got enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University. After two semesters, he left the university & according to his mother: "he was not interested in anything, except radio".
Political views:
Rush Limbaugh represents conservative wing of Republican Party. Extreme right & conservative views, which puts him in conflict situations with more moderate Republicans. After extremely harsh statements against new Obama, Rush has been criticized by Michael Steele, leader of Republican Party, but after outcry from extreme conservatives, Steele was forced to apologize to popular radio host.
Rush Limbaugh is one of the most radical opponents of Democratic Party & President Barack Obama. In March 2009, he invited Obama to participate in debates, arguing that the President is "one of the most gifted orators of our time, so I think, Mr. President, you will be happy to grab this opportunity".
In late 2009, according to CBS News 60 Minutes poll & Vanity Fair magazine, Rush Limbaugh was named the "most influential" U.S. conservative.
He conducts own popular radio show by his name, which is being broadcast to all corners of U.S. by radio station 'Premiere Radio' & is considered as highest ranking radio talk show in America.
Rush Hudson Limbaugh III was born on January 12, 1951 in Cape Girardeau Missouri. He is son of Carolyn Mildred "Millie 'of Arkansas and Rush Hudson Limbaugh. Jr., lawyer and fighter pilot of World War II, who served in China-Burma-India Theater of World War II.
He grew up in a family with long history of participation of its members in Republican politics & began working at radio station at the age of 16. After studying for two semesters in Southeast Missouri State University, he discontinued his studies because, according to his mother, apart from radio nothing interested him.
Limbaugh moved to Pittsburgh, where he began working at radio station KQV as disc jockey under the pseudo name "Jeff Christie". He was in the list of "top forty radio disc jockeys" of WIXZ radio station. In 1979, for a brief period, Limbaugh gave up radio & served as director of promotional baseball team "Kansas City Royals". During promotion, he started a close friendship with now retired star of team, George Brett, with whom Rush still maintains a close relationship.
In 1984, after series of radio projects, Rush started hosting radio talk show in Sacramento, California. His program was unique not because of special contingent of invited guests but solely because of his own conservative political analysis during the show.
By replacing Morton Downey Jr., Rush declined political Fairness Doctrines, according to which companies can submit opposing points of view on all disputed issues of national importance. From now on, it was made possible to comment & criticize any event, without balancing with their contradictory opinions. Daniel Henninger wrote in one of "Walt Street Journal" article: Ronald Reagan demolished the wall (fairness doctrine) in 1987 ... & Rush Limbaugh became the first man, proclaimed himself liberated from liberal media domination of East Germany".
After relocating to Los Angeles, Limbaugh in 1988, moved on to national broadcasting - on radio WABC. His project quickly grew into a popular show & Rush's popularity had grown upto national level. Radio stations, broadcasting Rush's program, crossed the 650 threshold mark across the country. In December 1990, journalist Lewis Grossberger wrote in "New York Times", that Limbaugh had more listeners than any other talk show host & described the style of Rush like something between serious lectures of speaker & Political vaudeville.
In 1992, Democrat Bill Clinton was elected President of United States. Satires of Limbaugh were pointed towards new president & first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton as well as policies of Democratic Party. When Republic Party won control of Congress in the midterm elections of 1994, Limbaugh automatically became member of Republican caucus for nominating candidates in forthcoming elections. This event stamped the significance of his personality on national political arena.
Fame of commentator spread beyond the limits of radio through working on TV and in publishing world too. So, Limbaugh became an author of bestselling books "The Way Things Ought to Be" (1992) & "See, I Told You So" (1993). From 1992 to 1996, Rush Hudson was host of 30-minute TV talk show.
At the end of 2001, outstanding representative of conservative wing of Republican Party admitted, to be almost totally deaf but continued to host his "Rush Limbaugh Show". However, he managed to almost completely restore hearing with the help of cochlear implants.
