  • Baseball Robot

    Baseball Robot
        • I love how you did the robot pose to match that of a real baseball player.
        • Congrats Mandrak Junka , very smooth and clean image
        • congrats mandrak (junka) and welcome to FN.
  • Robot Surfing and Diving

    Robot Surfing and Diving
        • I guess these ROBOTS are waterproof, eh? :] Good chop!
        • Quality work. I like how you chose the composition with a robot in upper part as well as another robot in underwater.
        • Congrats Liltim If I see surfing and diving bots, I would say it's an invasion...hehe
        • Congratulations with the silver, liltim, - impressive work!
  • Robot Surfer

    Robot Surfer
        • Nice work. I almost used this source. Beautiful integration!
        • hope he doesn't rust out out their on the waves.
        • Congrats Hartman Hope he's stainless steel.

        • Congratulations with the bronze trophy, hartmann!
  • Skiing Robot

    Skiing Robot
        • Nice image, but you have the robot's shadow on the ground going in the opposite direction of the sun that's on his body, and the sun on the sign doesn't match the body or surface shadow.

        • Rain has a good point. Still a top notch job.
  • Fencing Robot

    Fencing Robot
        • Another gem. Great choice of sources and composition. The only small drawback I see is remains of the clone tool in the shadow.
  • Dog Racing Robot

    Dog Racing Robot
  • Robot Basketball

    Robot Basketball
        • I like this one! The semi-reflective shadows look very realistic- nicely done!
        • I would make the robot reflection a bit more blurry and remove it from the part where the yellow paint is.
        • Good effort, but the ball would be a lot smaller
  • Robot Marathon

    Robot Marathon
        • Great concept. You should add some motion blur to the back robot too.
  • Basketball Robot

    Basketball Robot
  • Skater Robot

    Skater Robot
        • Pretty cool. Quality light and shadow work too.
        • yeah, couldn't make it out at first, but now I do...
  • Parachuting Robot

    Parachuting Robot
  • Boxing Robot

    Boxing Robot
        • Full view is a must. Quality work, and I like how you made the guy with bruising.
        • I am assuming that the robot is the referee as there are already two boxers in the ring. It would be nice if there was a bit more balance in the sharpness between the two boxers and the robot.
        • Thanks for the comments, I think its an amateur match as the guy in blue is the ref here's the source -

sorry can't do the link thing yet

  • Robot Football League

    Robot Football League
        • A nice big image.
This may have been just as dramatic on a standard football pitch surface rather than on the moon. Just watch how you mask out each of the elements as some, the goal posts in particular, are quite blocky. Try to keep your edges as smooth as possible by varying the settings on the tool which you are using.
        • I suppose, redrawing the goal posts as you have done in your edit is one way to get around the masking problem in this one area but the resulting appearance is quite flat, unfortunately.
        • Fair work. Goal posts do look flat though.
  • Robot Biking

    Robot Biking
        • Love the advertisement angle you chose. The bike is more blurry than the robot, otherwise good work.
  • Robot Tennis

    Robot Tennis
        • LOL! Love the Italian head tape on the robit too.
  • Bowling Robot

    Bowling Robot
        • Cool. You even did the pink reflection of the ball on the robot.
I wish you chose the real robot as the source though, not a toy one.
  • Robot Baseball Catch

    Robot Baseball Catch
        • Fair work. I would increase the contrast and levels on the robot hand.
  • Snowboarding Robot

    Snowboarding Robot
  • Olimpic Games Robot

    Olimpic Games Robot
        • Smart composition. I wish the weights were not as blurry - try finding some better source.
  • Robot Race

    Robot Race
        • Would adding some shadows on the track help to complete the effect?
        • yeah I agree, they do seem to be floating.
        • I am not sure if you stretched the robots with rotation, but they do look somewhat flat. Also shadows from the robots are needed for realism. I am absolutely in love with the concept though - probably the smartest in the contest.

This contest is fueled by the following news: An unusual football match took place in Tokyo. Players moved in that match were clumsy and different from top-liners skills in football. The matter is about Sony Corporation's robot AIBO model participating in the match. Some played football and others clad in samurai dress and bikini supported their co-brothers by dancing. Some are guided by their masters with the help of remote controls and others were programmed for responding to the moving ball. Prof. Ken Seno from Tokyo University who organized the match says that soon robots can overpower humans in their skills. He says: if to speak about the physical abilities of robots, today they are children. But it is just matter of time. They will overtake humans like computers did when they were several decades before working slowly and now they can execute different tasks quicker than humans. Japanese scientists took a big step towards creating "Ideal humanoid" which would exactly repeat all movements of a human. Scientists from Tokyo University are the first to constructed a robot which could jump vertically and landing smoothly on its own legs. Knees of robots are provided with artificial tendons which under compressed air, would function like springs. A robot of 120cm and 10kg can jump half meter up. News agency reports, besides above mentioned functions it can land smoothly land on its knees and also can kick football with force. With technology development, production of humanlike robots has been announced by Japan as strategic industry. Due to quick ageing of people in Japanese society, it is planned to use humanoids as substitution for imminent shortage of work force. Japanese engineers now have created dozens of two-legged machines which are similar to humans in isolated functions-gestures, ability to turn smoothly, turn handsprings, lie down, stand, move fingers and etc. Ultimate goal is to combine all these skills in one "Ideal humanoid"
