This week the strained bond between Barack Obama and Rev. Jeremiah Wright has finally broken up. The Illinois senator called on the press conference on the campaign trail in Noth Carolina to publicly react to Rev. Wright comments made on Monday at The National Press Club in Washington. Obama stated that he is outraged by Wright's comments and saddened by his spectacle. However this public "divorce" may come a day too late, as Rev. Wright did more damage to Obama's campaign than anything else. If Obama does not win the Democratic nomination, he should thank his former pastor.
