Quietly pictures

Quietly
In Memory of Jamie Bishop, an avid photoshopher murdered in his middle thirties by Seung-Hui Cho at Virginia Tech last April 16, just when he had begun to produce his mature work. Cho got straight to kill Jamie when he seized Norris Hall, who shot twice in the head. After that Cho started his massacre.
`Herr´ Bishop, as he liked to be called by his German language students at Norris, was a master of the multiple textures managed as superimposed glazes, aimed to perform an overall evocative effect, almost magical, which sometimes attains to open unexpected emotional registers, totally out of reach in the everyday life.
To admire the source of my entry and to know more about the photos and compositions of this self-effacing artist, even the music he liked, go to his still existing webpage, Memory 39 .
I don’t want to finish without claiming:
HELP TO SAVE JAMIE FROM THE OBLIVION!

I would probably use a better source photo, it looks a little rough. Interesting story

I like when the object of the challenge is in prominence, and you made this very well. You shows expertise in the use of filters and this must be valued. Congratulations.

The matching of color patterns deserves a merit. The tribute story is also touching. However composition wise I do not see a logical connection between the kettle and statue of David, so the composition looks a bit like a good collage. There are traces of the clone tool on the David's hair. Still impressive work overall.

To Rainmaker and NewsMaster: I've used one of the best and largest sources of the Jamie website and I don't retouch it. The traces of the clone tool on the David's hair, as well as the scrapings and the flares of the face, are not mine but his. And this image was almost a combat flag for Jamie. Could you understand why. THAT IS THE WAY of Jamie, apparentely full of little imperfections, like the best pieces of the japanese pottery. My message is beyond logic. If you understand it well, if you don't, also well. Thanks for your commentaries.

I understand it now I think. After browsing more of her website, the entry feels in line with her style of illustrations and collages.
