| | Security forces in Venezuela scrambled to meet a new threat on the streets of the capital city of Caracas: Halloween-like pumpkins have been set about with messages of rebellion against President Hugo Chavez. Local media outlets showed heavily armed police and bomb specialists surrounding one pumpkin with a Halloween face that was covered anti-Chavez stickers. Other pumpkins bore cables and wires that made authorities worry that the vegetables contained explosives. The pumpkins were located outside the state oil company Pequiven as well the offices of Chavez's political party. References were made to a constitutional article about civil resistence.
