The pumpkin type Lagenaria (Cucurbita Lagenaria L.), bottle pumpkin or grass hopper is related to a type of Cucurbita. Their stems are lengthy, twisting, soft – hairy; leaves are rounded – egg shaped, slightly lobar or polygonal, flowers are big, white, petals are free; fruits are non-edible (used for vessels) or edible. The origin of this plant is tropical Africa and the east Indies.
