| The Russian and American astronauts on the International Space Station have had to rely on a candy laden diet for the past five weeks because their predecessors on the space station actually raided the kitchen. The astronauts said that they lost a few pounds. They considered a bit of a challenge, a camping sort of adventure. They two men on board had to cut down on their calories because the prior crew got into their food supplies. The prior crew did have permission to eat the food, but they did not record how much they had taken. The astronauts did not realize the food shortage until they were on board the mission was underway. They had to cut back to half on rations of "real food." They made up for the calorie deficit by eating candy. |
