| In a prison in Ciudad Juarez, located on the U.S. border, a city in which a remarkable 300 plus women have been murdered in the past ten years alone, a new program is being started at the jail. As a result, the people responsible for overseeing the jail have introduced aromatherapy and piped in classical music in an effort to develop a unique rehabilitation program. Prison officials have begun burning scented oils and begun playing soft music for a group of two dozen disturbed and violent offenders in the facility. The group receiving the aromatherapy and music selections include murderers and rapists serving up to 40 year sentences (the longest sentences issued in the country). Jail officials say that they want to treat inmates like human beings. The treatment program is filling the air with scents including sandalwood.
