I'm saying AZ. Those gears of war pics were bound to be put to some good use. I'm just wondering how that textured effect is obtained. Care to tell the magictrick. I want that, i need that. My life is empty without it.

the radiance and/or nightmare filter will get you similar results, (oh and there is the universal cheat of using game screenshots , which I refuse to do because it is cheap) the key is in the contrast and saturation and heavy use of the clarity filter or the sharpen tool while using the dodge and burn tool. there are probably filters that allow you do get the same effect without trying. while I love this style, it is just not for me. I mean not for me to stylize with, I love to look at it, I'm just not interested in it as it is a signature style. If they had removed the towers in the background and turned them into icebergs or something I would be impressed. But this here is simply photoshop filters 101. Sorry whoever. But I'm bored with it. this would have been nice in a contest that required fire or heat but you decided to use it in the exact opposite and I think that is presumptuous that we are all retards. And why would you put the ape in there. That has nothing to do at all with the Arctic. Looks like another cheap pull-in. Whatever, I am not trying to diss, but this is soooo cliche. I am going to vote this a one on simple ethics. And don't take it as a diss author because you know you deserve it. You could have at least changed the hue to blue to, well make freaking sense as per the topic of the contest and/or not done it at all. This is the cheapest chop I have ever witnessed on FreakingNews.com. But this will most likely freaking win because the whole of the vote is based on freaking noobs. Whoever did it can revel in their gold and realize that artistry is not a part of what happens in thier own head or what they can emulate to the kids that do not know any better, but the realistic form that presents itself that is called art. If this is a AZRainman chop....well I may just shoot myself in the freaking head.

Jerry wishes it was just filters, . As for arctic ice, Melting Ice Threatens Future Of Arctic Polar Bears, hence the heating up is also a nod at climate change making legions of disgruntled polar bears. The date of 2020 in the contest article, means there will probably be no ice by then. Note: That's not an ape, it's a giant bigfoot or yeti, so where else you expect him to hide. In Manhattan.

oh so it's a political statement. I'm not ripping this piece, you know what I mean. this style is an easy win and you know it. and the Arctic is not melting away because of climate change, it changes like this over time. just a few hundred years ago it was all land, now it's ice and will be land again in another hundred years and so the cycle continues. Al Gore is an idiot. The only thing threatening Polar Bears are Canadians and the Palin family. you obviously put a lot of time in this though. but everybody knows (even AL Gore) that the Arctic Yeti is white. still lots of work here that needs to be voted on accordingly, ignore my previous rant.
