| Pink is a color which is formed when the red and white colors are mixed. Though sometimes it is described as light-red, it would precise to describe it as an unsaturated red color and more often with a touch of magenta. Despite wide use of the word, it is very difficult to make an exact shade; for example, in the English language, two words are used for substantially different shades of pink: Rose (more of a red shade) and Pink “Daisy”.
The bright-pink color existed in the fashion world under the names “Shocking Pink”, and “Neon Pink”. This pink shade was used by designer Leonor Fini in 1936 and became the trade mark of Elsa Schiaparelli. Perfumes, dresses, hats, shoes and lipsticks were manufactured under this trade mark.
The pink color is a combination of red and white. Red signifies activity, vital force and a YAN quality. White signifies cleanliness, purification, links with higher spheres and a INH quality.
The YAN quality is vividly expressed in the bright-red color and the red color is more stable. In light pink the color qualities are more expressed and it is more womanly, gentle and can support illusions.
Pink expresses LOVE. It is connected with the Chakra.
Love is terrestrial, warm, to living beings, men and women and to itself. Unlike green, which is quieter, counterbalanced and propagates the quality of the world around and harmony with associates, pink indicates tenderness, romanticism and femininity the realization of hopes, the ability to forgive and the understanding of love.
Working with a pink color helps to develop a loving self, creates harmonious relationships and develops the Chakra. Pink quartz helps in the work with the pink color and the Chakra. |
