Let's help the scientific pigeons project and show the world what the equipped pigeons will look like. You can also take the idea further and equip the pigeons with other devices (as long as the device is carried / located on the pigeon). Pigeons only please, other birds will be disqualified.

According to "New Scientist" magazine, a flock of pigeons has been outfitted with mobile phone backpacks to monitor air pollution in San Jose, California. The birds are slated to be released in August, with each bird carrying a GPS satellite tracking receiver, air pollution sensors and a basic mobile phone. Text messages regarding air quality will be beamed to scientists in real time and to a special pigeon blog, a journal that will be available generally on the Internet. In addition, minature cameras fastened around the pigeons' necks will also take and post aerial photographs.
