| After attemtping to pierce her own belly button, a 13 year old girl is in critical condition at the hospital and her mother is facing criminal charges for failing to get the girl medical attention in a timely manner. A severe infection that lasted for weeks resulted in the girl weighing about 75 pounds and edging near death when she finally made it to a hospital. On Monday, two days after the mother was arrested, she appeared in court and was ordered by the judge to obtain a psychiatric evaluation to determine if she was fit to stand trial. |
