This was inspired in part by this week's happy news that a court has awarded $11 million
in damages after the detestable Phelps and his "church" (consisting entirely
of his descendants) picketed the funeral of a marine killed in Iraq. Phelps is,
I think, a very sick and evil man who is probably driven by the conflict between
his own deeply suppressed homo ... uality and his sulfur and brimstone
