Penelope Cruz has celebrated her 35th birthday this Tuesday. While Penelope has been Popular in Spain since her 20s, she became a real Hollywood star after her role in Vanilla Sky (2001), especially after her public affair at the time with Vanilla Sky's co-star Tom Cruise, who left his wife Nicole Kidman to be with Cruz. Cruz is the only Spanish female actress who received an Academy Award; she got it as Best Supporting Actress in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona". Penelope Cruz speaks Spanish, Italian, French and English. In April 2007 Issue of Marie Claire, Cruz said: "I want to have my own kids, but also adopt. For a while I've had the feeling that my life won't be complete if I don't adopt".
