| | The winners for 2007 Academy Awards have been chosen and are waiting
to be announced in the sealed envelopes. The jury casting the votes
consists from over 6,000 members of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and
Sciences and the final votes for Oscar nominees were cast on Tuesday.
The live Academy Awards ceremony will reveal the winners in 24
categories this Sunday at Hollywood Kodak Theater where the Oscars 2007 photos are taken this year.
Usually it's relatively easy to predict the Oscar winners, but it's
not quite true for this year awards. My guess is as good as yours and
critics are unsure about the best standing nominees this year.
This years best picture category includes five nominee films - each
standing more or less equal chances of taking home the Oscars.
Usually the best nominee or two is obvious to critics and fans, while
the other nominees are there basically for the show and for amusement
of the crowd and the glam photos and videos of the ceremony.
This years 79th Academy Awards has five Oscar nominees:
"The Departed", "Babel", "Little Miss Sunshine", "Letters From Iwo
Jima", and "The Queen." Any one of the above can take home the big
prize this year and be called the best picture. |
