This contest is fueled by the following news:

Officials in the United States and in Pakistan denied that Osama Bin Laden was captured along the Pakistani border with Afghanistan. There had been some prior radio reports or Osama Bin Laden Captured, including on Iran state radio, that bin Laden has been kept as prisoner in an undisclosed location. The contention was there was a move by the U.S. government to keep the capture of bin Laden secret until closer to the U.S. election in November.
