| Officials in the United States and in Pakistan denied that Osama Bin Laden was captured along the Pakistani border with Afghanistan. There had been some prior radio reports on Osama Bin Laden Captured, including on Iran state radio, that bin Laden has been kept as prisoner in an undisclosed location. The contention was there was a move by the U.S. government to keep the capture of bin Laden secret until closer to the U.S. election in November.
Osama’s appearance:
Osama bin Laden was often described as a tall man; the FBI considers him tall and thin: height – 193 -195 cm and weight of about 75 kg. Skin color is olive. Bin Laden is a lefthander and as a rule, walked with a stick. He wore a white turban, which is the traditional headdress for men in Saudi Arabia.
It is believed that, Osama bin Laden spoke only in Arabic. In 2004 and 2005, two books were released in USA, containing collection of lectures, sermons and letters by Osama bin Laden. The author of one of the books ("Messages to the World: The Statements of Osama bin Laden") Bruce Lawrence confesses that Osama bin Laden, probably, is the new eminent Arabian poet and thinker, whose vision has been grossly misunderstood by the world.
The author of the collection himself considers that he opened a magnificent sample of the modern Arabian rhetoric to the world. According to Bruce Lawrence, Osama bin Laden's creativity is comparable with the best samples of famous masters of oration like Gamal Abdel Naser, the first President of Egypt.

After prayers, he starts discussing organizational issues and then receives eminent people, who came to visit, sometimes secretly. During all this, he does not even take a breathing space.
During his university days he showed an interest in the history and development of shariat rules. In order to deepen his religious knowledge, he got engaged with the famous theologians of Saudi Arabia, who recognized his extraordinary capabilities. He also showed interest in international politics. He painfully perceived the dissociation and defeat of the Arabic side in the conflict with Israel. In the surroundings, he defied any type of manifestations such as weakness, passivity, helplessness…
Osama and North Caucasus conflict:
Since 1995, Osama bin Laden was actively involved in the Chechen conflict by sending mercenaries of "Al-Qaeda" to the North Caucasus and sponsoring the Chechen terrorists.
But, “Though many foreign nationals are present in the “Chechen” group, all the mercenaries of this group were never referred to as “terrorists” in the western mass media. For the West, members of this group, as a rule, are “Freedom Fighters”, “ guerrillas" , “separatists“ and so forth but not “criminals-terrorists”.
Bin Laden’s representative in the North Caucasus was field commander Khattab, whom he met in1987. For Khattab, the association with bin Laden opened access to unlimited monetary resources and allowed him to conquer strong positions in the Chechen Republic. On the other hand, Chechen separatists refuted any allegations of any kind of association with “Al-Qaeda”. In particular, Ahmed Zakhaev, heading the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the self-proclaimed Republic of Ichkeria at that time, refuted the association of Chechen separatists with “Al-Qaeda” (during the abduction of Russian diplomats in Iraq on June 6, 2006) and according to his words, it was clear that “Al-Qaeda” and the Chechen separatists are not cooperating each other.
After the statements of the Iraq fighters, Ahmed Zakhaev, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ichkeria and who now lives in London, categorically rejected any kind of association between the Chechen separatists and "Al-Qaeda" and demanded the release of diplomats without any conditions. “Their demands seem to be naïve, at least. Especially if we remember how Russia acted after releasing the hostages at the theatre in the Dubrovka area and in Beslan” - Zakhaev stated. Besides, he did not exclude that, by bring forward their demands, connected with "Al-Qaeda”, the group and "Al-Qaeda” itself have tried to defame the Chechen separatist movement.
