| | The children and young adults who originally took up inline skating during its heyday are not finding themselves in their forties and fifties. Officials at Rollerblade want to remind these old people skaters that inline skating isn't just for teens and isn't just for fun. It is also good exercise as well. Rollerblade marks its 25th anniversary this year. Company officials are hoping that a new emphasis on fitness will expand inline skating beyond its course customer base of youngsters and will appeal to old people. Out of its 33 different models, Rollerblade has skates that bear names such as Lightning and Aero that are geared for people who are interested in fitness. There is also a Team Rollerblade Series for old people interested in performing stunts. The company also has such models as Zetrablade that is tailored for beginners who are looking for a solid workout.
The important factor in the sociology of aging are the sexual and reproduction activities. In the industrial countries, men continue to produce children even at the age of 65 and above.
It is typical for elder people to be resistive towards the changes, although to a large extent it is explained as not an incapability towards adaptability, but as the increase in tolerance.
