| According to French entrepreneur Stephane Kerdode, he created Breizh Cola in 2002 to challenge a certain type of globalization. He contends that he created his beverage to fight against domination of the soft drink market by Coca Cola. Many people consider Breizh Cola to be an imitation of the world known Coca Cola soft drink. In any case, Kerdode contends that Coca Cola represents the epitome of a global, multinational enterprise. He contends that he wants to pull cola beverages back and give to them a regional identity. He maintains that Breizh Cola never was intended to be an anti-American product, despite its advertising slogan which some contends takes a jab at Coca Cola products and their pricing. Breizh Cola has been on the market for four years. Kerdode does not disclose how much of his product he sells annually. His cola beverage is available throughout Brittany in France and in some outlets in Paris. Interestingly, Kerdode has noted that he plans to go ... global. |
